Urban dicitonary defines T-5 as when something that has been built up with huge anticipation then fails miserably. This week, however, that is not the case on my weekly weigh in. Without changing anything from my established routine on rebound, I some how managed to lose up to 5 lbs as compared to last week. Since I started tracking my progress on this blog, which was about four weeks ago, I have lost a total of 7.4 lbs.

If there is one thing that I know for a fact that has helped my weight loss is the weight training program I am currently on. A couple of years ago, I bought a program from the fitness influencer Alex Crockford on Instagram. The program consists of 12 weeks broken up into different 5 different cycles which also includes a calendar to help you plan out your workout. I personally have used his program many times whenever I feel that I need to restart my fitness routine.


This week I did start to incorporate the butterfly stroke back into my swim practice. After my shoulder injury, form almost a year ago, I laid off this stroke and focused a lot on my physical training to try and build back mobility into the shoulder. The reason why I stayed away from the stroke in the first place was because I would get a severe pinch in the shoulders whenever my arms extended above my head. The video below is my first time practicing the stroke in over 13 months and after the the second set of 50 I was fully exhausted.
